  • 8 slices traditional cooked ham, cut into 4
  • 1 cup (250 ml) cold bechamel sauce
  • 1 cup (375 ml) grated cheese (your choice)
  • 1 baguette, sliced


  1. Place baguette slices side by side on a baking sheet and spread with about half the bechamel.
  2. Place 2 ham slices on each crouton, spread with the remaining sauce and cover with grated cheese.
  3. Bake 12 minutes or until cheese just starts to bubble.
  4. Transfer the mini croques to a platter and serve immediately.
