Bacon-Cheddar Toasts

  • 5 slices bacon, cooked
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) sharp cheddar, grated
  • 2 slices double rye or pumpernickel, toasted
  • 1 tbsp. (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • Pepper


  1. Cut bacon slices into 3.
  2. Place bread slices on a baking sheet, spread with a thin layer of mustard and top with half the bacon.
  3. Cover with grated cheese, then the remaining bacon. Turn oven to broil and place baking sheet on top oven rack. Broil until cheese is melted.
  4. Serve immediately.
