Black forest smoked ham club sandwich

Lightly toast the bread slices (in a toaster or in a pan with a little butter).

Spread homemade mayonnaise on the first slice of bread, add the lettuce and tomato slices. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Place a second slice of bread on top. Spread with homemade mayonnaise again, then add the ham and cheese.

Add the third slice of bread. Spread with homemade mayonnaise, then top with crispy bacon.

Press the sandwich lightly, then cut into two or four triangles.

Secure with toothpicks if desired and serve with fries, salad, or chips.
