  • Tips

Pork tenderloin is a highly versatile cut that pairs well with a wide variety of flavours, from classic to bold. A well-prepared marinade not only tenderizes the meat and enhances its taste, but also serves as an excellent solution for advance meal preparation and freezing — ideal for busy schedules. This article presents five simple marinade ideas for pork tenderloin — sweet, spicy, or tangy — to suit every preference. To prepare, simply place the tenderloins in a resealable bag, add the marinade, mix thoroughly, and freeze for future use. These marinades offer practical and flavourful options that can easily become staples in your culinary routine.

Instructions :

Marinade :

  • In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients until well combined.

  • Place the pork tenderloins in a large resealable bag or an airtight container.

  • Pour the marinade over the pork and coat thoroughly.

  • If cooking within the next few days, let marinate for at least 4 hours — ideally overnight — in the refrigerator. Otherwise, place the bag in the freezer for later use.

Cooking

  • If the tenderloins were frozen, be sure to defrost them completely in the refrigerator 24 hours in advance.

  • Once defrosted, cook in the oven or on the BBQ at 400°F/200°C for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through and basting with the remaining marinade.

  • Let the tenderloins rest for 5 minutes after cooking before slicing, to keep all the juices inside.
