APPLEWOOD SMOKED HAM Just when is the Year of the Ham? Soon we hope, so you can serve ham at Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter and give the turkey a break.

ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 341 ml (1 bottle) strong beers
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 pinches Cloves
  • 1 applewood Smoked Flavour Smoked Ham
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1/2 thyme
  • 2 onions, minced
  • 682 ml (2 bottles) strong beers
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 4 pinches Cloves
  • 2 applewood Smoked Flavour Smoked Ham
  • 1 Olymel Applewood Smoked Flavour Smoked Ham, 50% less salt
  • 1 bottle strong beer
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 1 onion, minced
  • Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

instructions

  1. Place ham in pan, stick cloves into rind of ham.
  2. Combine beer, brown sugar, onion and spices; pour over ham in pan. Cover and cook in the oven at 350˚F (175˚C) for 45 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven and keep warm. Strain the sauce and reduce to desired consistency.
  4. Serve with fried potatoes and grilled vegetables.
