ingredients

  • 250 ml (1 cup) chicken stock
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 3 figs, quartered
  • 7 ml (1/2 tablespoon) fresh ginger, chopped
  • 375 g black Forest smoked ham
  • 250 ml (1 cup) pure orange juice
  • 1/2 orange, peeled and in sections (remove white membrane)
  • 500 ml (2 cups) chicken stock
  • 3 shallots, chopped
  • 6 figs, quartered
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) fresh ginger, chopped
  • 750 g black Forest smoked ham
  • 500 ml (2 cups) pure orange juice
  • 1 orange, peeled and in sections (remove white membrane)
  • 750 ml (3 cups) chicken stock
  • 4 shallots, chopped
  • 8 figs, quartered
  • 17 1/2 ml (1 1/2 tablespoon) fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 1/4 g black Forest smoked ham
  • 750 ml (3 cups) pure orange juice
  • 1 1/2 oranges, peeled and in sections (remove white membrane)
  • 750 g Olymel Smoked Ham
  • 500 mL (2 cups) of pure orange juice
  • 500 mL (2 cups) of chicken stock
  • 8 figs, quartered
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 15 mL (1 tablespoon) of fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 orange, peeled, in sections (remove white membrane)

instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place ham in a roasting pan. Add orange juice, chicken stock, figs, shallots, salt and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle ginger around pan, cover and cook in the oven for 45 minutes. Slice ham and serve with figs and pan juices. Garnish with orange sections.
